Adventure Academy, for ages 7 to 14, is a week-long day camp filled with high-energy outdoor activities that help campers learn teamwork, leadership skills, self-confidence, and most importantly, have fun! All meals and snacks are provided.

2018 Adventure Academy Schedule & Pricing

Base Camp A, for ages 7 to 10

Activities include:

  • Climbing Wall, Giant’s Ladder, Zip Line, Pamper Pole
  • Bouldering Wall and Slack Line

  • Hiking and Creeking

  • Team Building Activities

  • Crafts and Games

  • Archery

  • Swimming

  • One Overnight Campout on Property!

Base Camp B, for ages 10 to 14

includes activities in Base Camp A and campers also get to experience our three-level high ropes course.

Junior Frontier, for ages 12 to 14

includes three nights of camping on our property and an overnight backpacking experience. 

New for 2018!

Add the ZipZone Adventure Park for Friday afternoon. Located on the grounds of Camp Mary Orton, the ZipZone Adventure Park is a self-guided aerial course and features bridges, nets, zip lines, swings, cable walk ways, and more. With 7 trails and varying degrees of difficulty, it’s great for fun seekers of all skill levels. Through Adventure Academy registration, the ZipZone Add-On tour is an awesome capstone to your camper’s adventurous week.

*Ages 7-14 under 270 pounds

  • The tour takes place on Friday from 12:00-3:00pm.
  • If you select this option, you will pick up your child at 3pm on Friday.
  • Space is limited.

Policies

Registration Fees
To register and reserve a space for your camper, click the link at the bottom of this page. The electronic registration process will allow you to register your camper and provide you with the required forms. A non-refundable deposit of $75/session is required to reserve a space for your camper. Paid deposits are counted as payments toward the full registration fee. You can make payments towards your registration balance at any time before May 25, 2018 by visiting  https://campsself.active.com/CampMaryOrton .  Any remaining unpaid balance will be automatically charged to your credit card on file on May 25, 2018.

Refunds
Deposits are never refunded except when a program is cancelled by Camp Mary Orton. Registration fees minus the deposit can be refunded when cancellation occurs at least 21 days prior to the start of your child’s camp session. Participants assume risk and responsibility for changes in personal schedule or health.

Cancellations
To cancel a reservation, please contact the Camp Mary Orton office at 614.885.1023. You must speak with Camp Mary Orton administrative staff to cancel. A voicemail message will not be considered proper notification of cancellation for refund purposes. Please note that your $75 deposit is non-refundable if you cancel your reservation.

Changing Weeks
Because of the additional cost to process a change request, there will be a $15 fee assessed for changing your camper’s week once you have registered.

Requesting to be Placed with Friends
We have found that when too many campers already know each other in one group, it makes the experience of the campers who are new to the group less positive. Therefore, you can request to be placed with up to 2 other campers. All sets of campers must request one another in order for the placement to be accommodated. Please make these requests on the registration form. In all cases, we will make our best effort to accommodate this request, but cannot guarantee that a request will be accommodated. There are multiple large group activities, including meals, swimming, games, and the overnight campout, so that friends who are not in the same group will still have time with each other throughout the week.

ZipZone Add-On
If the ZipZone Add-On tour is cancelled due to weather, you will receive a refund (no fee). Camp Mary Orton will automatically refund your ZipZone Add-On amount to your credit card on file. Refunds will be processed by Camp Mary Orton; please do not contact ZipZone directly.If you choose to cancel your ZipZone Add-On, there will be a $15 fee assessed to cover the cost of processing the refund.
