Project Build

Project Build > Job Success > ABLE/GED > Opportunity Knocks

Project Build is a dynamic 8 week course designed to provide participants with classroom and hands-on training to prepare them for employment in the construction and building trades industry. Students receive an introduction to Carpentry, Masonry, Electrical, Roofing, Plumbing, HVAC, Landscaping and Heavy Highway. Basic job readiness skills are also covered during the class. Project Build students receive valuable team building experiences at the Leadership and Challenge Center at Godman Guild's Camp Mary Orton.

Project Build is offered at no cost to the student. Each student receives all supplies and equipment necessary to complete the class. Throughout the class, students have many opportunities to network with local employers and all receive OSHA TRAINING. Meals, babysitting and transportation to and from job sites are provided during the class. Students must be able to get to the Guild. A stipend is offered to students to help with minor personal expenses and as a component of our Money Management training.
